Wie jedes Jahr am letzten Sonntag im September wurde in diesem Jahr der 39. Berlin Marathon gestartet.
Zum Start um 9:00 traten ca. 41.000 Läuferinnen und Läufer über die 42,195 km lange Strecke an und wurden unterwegs von ca. 1 Million Freunden, Fans und Schaulustigen angefeuert. Start und Ziel waren wie jedes Jahr am Brandenburger Tor.
